How schools and coaching centres use a defaulter list
Most fee follow-up fails because nobody knows who to call first. Sorting by days overdue puts the oldest dues on top, which is where recovery gets harder each week.
Ageing buckets (1–15, 16–30, 31–60 and 60+ days) help you change the tone of follow-up: a polite reminder for the first bucket, a call for the second, and a formal letter or meeting for the oldest dues.
Keep the reminder short, mention the exact amount and due date, and include a payment option such as your UPI ID so the parent can pay from the same chat.
Frequently asked questions
What format should I paste the data in?
One student per line: Name, Phone, Pending amount, Due date. Columns can be separated by a tab (direct paste from Excel), comma or semicolon. Dates can be DD-MM-YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY or YYYY-MM-DD. A header row is skipped automatically.
Is my student data uploaded anywhere?
No. The list is processed in your browser only. Nothing is sent to FastFee unless you create an account and add students there yourself.
How is the late fee calculated?
Late fee = days overdue × late fee per day, limited to the maximum you set. Leave the late fee at 0 if you do not charge one.
Can I send all WhatsApp reminders at once?
