Why a timetable fails to fit, and how to fix it
Every class has days × periods slots (for example 6 × 8 = 48). If the subjects of a class add up to more periods than that, some cannot be placed. The setup screen shows each class’s total against the slots available in green or red.
A teacher who takes more periods than the week has slots, or who teaches many classes, is the usual cause of leftover periods. Check the teacher load table, move a section to another teacher, or reduce periods per week, and generate again.
Frequently asked questions
Can I fix a subject to a particular period, like assembly or games?
Generate first, then tap the period and pick the subject you want there. The tool warns in red if your change creates a teacher clash.
Does it support Saturday half days?
Choose the working days; for a short Saturday, leave the last periods free after generating or mark them as activity periods.
Can coaching institutes use it?
Yes. Treat each batch as a class and each faculty as a teacher.
Is this tool free? Do I need to sign up?
Yes, it is completely free with no login and no limit on entries. Signing up for FastFee is optional. The free plan keeps your records synced across devices; automatic WhatsApp reminders, UPI AutoPay and team logins are on FastFee Premium.
Where is my data stored?
Only in your browser on this device (local storage). Nothing is uploaded to FastFee. Clearing browser data deletes it, so export a CSV or PDF backup regularly.
