Frequently asked questions
How far ahead should I forecast?
Thirteen weeks (about 90 days) is a common horizon: long enough to see salary, GST and EMI cycles and short enough to be accurate. Update it weekly.
Should I include expected collections that may be late?
Use realistic dates based on how customers actually pay, not invoice due dates. Run a second scenario with late collections to see the risk.
Is this tool free? Do I need to sign up?
Yes, it is completely free with no login and no limit on entries. Signing up for a free FastFee account is optional and adds sync across devices, team access, automatic reminders and online payment collection.
Where is my data stored?
Only in your browser on this device (local storage). Nothing is uploaded to FastFee. Clearing browser data deletes it, so export a CSV or PDF backup regularly.
