Frequently asked questions

How is interest on arrears calculated?

Simple interest for one month: arrears × annual rate ÷ 12. For example ₹5,000 arrears at 18% p.a. adds ₹75. Use the rate approved in your society’s bye-laws or general body resolution.

Can different flats have different maintenance?

Yes. Charge heads per sq ft scale with each flat’s area; for flat-specific charges (parking, non-occupancy, penalty) add a one-off charge to that flat for the month.

Does GST apply to society maintenance?

GST on maintenance generally applies only when a member’s monthly contribution exceeds ₹7,500 and the society’s annual turnover exceeds ₹20 lakh. Check with your auditor; this free tool does not add GST.

Can members pay online?
